Firefly Big Band 반딧불이빅밴드 / Republic of Korea

Firefly Big Band was originally formed as a five-member combo band. In June 2022, the band collaborated with a saxophone ensemble, evolving into a full-scale big band. The members primarily reside in Pyoseon, Seongsan, and Namwon in Jeju, with an average age of around 63. They are individuals embarking on the second chapter of their lives, coming together through music. While they aspire to be a jazz band, they currently practice a variety of musical genres.

With a strong commitment to giving back, the band actively participates in various local events in Jeju, such as the Pyoseon Resident Self-Governance Event, Seogwipo Chilsimni Festival, Canola Flower Festival, Tamna Cultural Festival, and Seogwipo Night Festival. Additionally, since last year, they have been hosting their own promenade concerts, receiving enthusiastic responses from the local community.
